O=====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|====|===
6 You've just downloaded the largest collection of 1
programming info this side of the solar system!
7 PEEKS AND POKES contains a gigantic list of every ?
=memory address ever PEEKed or POKEd by mankind. This should <
:be an extremely handy tool to any BASIC programmer. Also >
<included in this file is another list of a bit smaller size @
>(still very large) of many common (and not-so-common) CALLS. 9
7Both of these lists can prove to be useful to assembly =
;language programmers (who think in hexadecimal), seeing as 0
all the hex equivalents have been given, also.
= I use this info extensively whenever (when looking over ;
9a foreign BASIC program listing) I come across a PEEK or 8
6POKE I haven't heard of. Or, by using the computer's )
built-in CALLS, to soup up my programs.
: PROGRAMMING INFO contains a wealth of information to ?
=any BASIC beginner, as well as technical info for people who ?
=live in their Apple IIs. Maps, tables, lists, and all sorts >
<of little hints are included. The second half of this file :
8(again, for you "assemblers" out there) are a few handy >
<tables of logical operators, status flags, and the internal 9
7registers, if you don't already have them committed to =
;memory. The last page is a complete conversion table from 3
hex to decimal and back for the numbers 0 to 255.
; Print these two files out, (totaling about 13 pages), -
hang them on your wall, and you're all set.
< I've never uploaded an AppleWorks file before. I hope =
;these files retain all their printer options that I put in >
<them. If things really look weird, you'll probably have to ?
=insert them yourself (in AppleWorks). It just won't work as $
a normal ASCII file! Some tips...
In the PEEKS AND POKES file...;
9The "Zero Page" and "Monitor Variables/Vectors" sections !
must be indented 41 characters.9
7All other Peeks and Pokes listings must be indented 50
chars./
All the Calls should be indented at 34 chars.9
7Any BASIC program or machine language listing fragment &
should be indented an extra 5 chars.
In the PROGRAMMING INFO file...?
="Programming Information" and "Machine Language Information" &
sections should be indented 5 chars.
For BOTH files...<
:Keep margins small. Recommended: top and bottom margins, 0
half an inch; left and right margins, .3 inch.<
:Most headings (such as "DOS Locations..." or "Zero Page") :
8should be set to a lower characters-per-inch, centered, 8
6and put in boldface, to set them off from the rest of
the text.?
=The entire file should be in 15 characters-per-inch, because
of its size, to save paper.
Use common sense for the rest!
4Tell me what's wrong with these lists. (Hopefully, "
nothing!) Leave me some E-Mail.
